Online/On Campus -- Term dates for online classes
(quarters) overlap the
dates for on campus classes (semesters). This presents problems for students
who change from online to on campus or vise versa because financial aid cannot be awarded
for overlapping terms. Students should check the UWA and Online
Academic calendars to determine if this might be a problem. UWA
Calendars are available online at
www.uwa.edu.
Students are allowed to enroll in a
combination of on campus and online classes. Enrollment status and
eligibility for funds will be adjusted when the additional classes for
the term begin. Students must be enrolled at least half-time to
qualify for financial aid, including student loans. Half time
enrollment for graduate students is 3 credit hours and for undergraduate
students 6 credit hours.
Dropping and Adding
Classes: Eligibility for funds is determined on the day that funds
are transferred from Financial Aid and posted to student accounts.
No adjustments are made for enrollment status after that date.
Stafford Loans: First time at UWA
students must complete Stafford Loan Counseling and sign a Master
Promissory Note with their lender. Stafford Loan Counseling can be
completed online at
http://financialaid.uwa.edu/studentloanprocess.asp. All student loan
lenders offer the option of e-signing the MPN on their website.
Veteran's Benefits: UWA participates
in all programs offered by the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs.
Students needing information about the Veteran's Benefits Programs
should contact Mr. Clarence Egbert in the Registrar's Office. |
